Posted by: dustycake 24 post 12-Aug-2008 8:49 AM Who posted the Mighty Moe???Now I feel like cruisin'.Drop the top.turn up Buddy Holley and the Crickets ND ROCK ON! Hey Dusty here is your post from the other thread. I was messing around with the pictures on the site late last night and saw this picture of the great Mighty Mo. Made me hungry. Wish I had a picture of a Teen Twist. Save a tele-tray for me. What fun we had at good old Hot Shoppees.
Note:: Carol Williams sent me 2 pictures take of the Benjamin Stoddard group. And Wynn Meyer sent in her 6th grade class at Tayac and her 2nd grade at Camp Springs. I was able to identify some of our classmates but sure could use some help. Thanks Carol and Wynn

Donna, If the Tayac class picture was Mrs Lewis' class, I think I'm in the back of the class. I also Think I see Fritz Greenawalt, Dana LaBosierre and maybe Roger Fallin. At Least I think I see all of those people! Hard to make everyone out. Maybe someone else can verify who's who. Hey, Dave Wood, are you out there? Frank

Good, I am not losing it. I thought you were in the back and that one kid looked like Roger Fallin also. I am going to go see if I can enlarge it somehow. Need to go looking for Fritz on there. Great to hear from you Frank. 11pm - I worked on it some more and I think was able to enlarge the pictures. This site is very limited in what I can and can't do. I divided the pictures in half and blew it up again. I think I found Fritz - see if I put his name on the right kid. He was hiding behind Carl Fleming. That one guy in the back with the plaid shirt is his name Wayne T something? I remember his face from somewhere - I looked through my John Hanson bk but didn't see him there. Any help from anyone out there on naming these kids.

Hi Donna, I can't even remember where Tayac was. Was that the Forest Heights elementary school? Would you like to know names from the Oxon Hill Mrs. Steven's 5th grade class? If you ever do I can help with some.

Tayac Elementary 8600 Allentown Rd. Fort Washington, MD 207441499 Judy is my cousin - they lived in Friendly MD. Tried to copy a mapquest map put couldn't copy. Mrs Stevens OH Elem - Can sure pick out quite a few-Pat Roulley, carl Hovermale, Jimmy Todd, Candy Phillips, Macia Bailey, Donna Zajeck, Orrine, Bobby Tagert, Tom Evans, Joyce Gibson and I figure you are in there somewhere. Tonight I will attempt to blow up these pictures like I did with the Tayace and Camp Springs pics. I had a hard time trying to name anyone in that Camp Springs pic.

Donna, the enlarged pictures are great, now these old eyes can recognize some more of the kids. Very good! You found Fritz, Roger and myself. The only other two I remember are Dana LaBossier and Gerald Hall. Dana is the first boy on Rogers right (as you are looking at him) and Gerald is the first boy to his left. Have fun down South and tell everyone I said hi. Frank P.S. Nancy, Tayac was located on the Southern end of Allentown Road near the Allentown Fire House.

Good Morning to All - glad you named Gerald Hall - I kept looking at his face last night and thought I knew him but just couldn't put a name on him. Need to go back and look at Dana - will add their names on the pic tonight. Yes - that enlarging helps lots - I tried a few different things but nothing would enlarge the picture after I had to create it as a thumbnail. So the dividing worked. Yea, more ways than one to skin a cat. My gosh where did that saying come from? I am geting more excited about the "Geezer" trip. Never thought I would look forward to being with Geezers or being called one. lol I will take pictures, naturally, and share. It should be lots of fun. They have some cute things planned - can't let the cat out of the bag (there is that darn cat thing again) but will definately let you know about it when I return. Have a super day - you guys are the greatest!

Hey, there, Frank! Of course I'm "out there"...somethings never change. There's at least three folks who may be able to answer your school bus question, one I don't have the email address and one other I'm hesitant about contacting after all of these years. Should I give it a shot?? Things good with you? Now that it's August and my uncle's BD this month, I guess I should ask (again) about the Camp Springs teacher for Ted Hudson.... dave wood

Hi Dave, I'm doing fine, thanks for asking. I was wondering if you recognized any of the kids in the Tayac picture? There are several I am beginning to remember, I just can't put the names with the faces. I'm not sure if you should make that contact or not, will it open up an old can of worms? :>) Frank

Regarding Oxon Hill 5th Grade, There is Linda Sheckler and I think Wayne Evans and maybe John Dordal. Yes I'm in there but I don't recognize myself!

Donna.... Thank you so much for posting the pics. Iam 6 rows up on the right of the second pic. Standing by me is Carol Hutchison, then there is Scottie Boyer, Janet Keller and to the left I see Karen Bradford. Gosh so much time gone by I have to study the pic to try and place names from back then. If anyone recognizes some of the classmates please post. Thanks again

Was at the BMX track last night then watched the Olympics til late so didn't get to this enlarging until this am. Terry Mirachi sent me that picture thru email so the resolution is very low (72). I tried to save it at 600 to boost the clarity but it didn't do too much. Maybe I can contact Terry and see if he can send me the actual photo so I can scan it in. Will go back and put names on them later. Carol sorry for the long delay in getting those pictures up. They were on Jack's machine and I swear I am getting so bad about forgetting to do things if they aren't right in my face. So if anyone out there has asked me for something and I haven't done it - please give me a gentle nudge to remind me. Carol I will go back and try to divide and blow up your pictures also. I have been working on confirming/finding ALL our classmates as we start to prepare for our 45th PARTY in 2010. It is a very time consuming task and sometimes very disappointing and other times I end my searches with great results. Bill Roscoe had asked for info on John Hartman and each time the info I gave him was a miss (thre are alot of John Hartmans out there). I gave it another try the other night and BINGO the info was right there. Bill gave John a call and John was so surprised to hear from Bill. He doesn't have email but we got his snail mail address and he said he just might attend the next reunion since he hadn't been found in all these years. If everyone reading this would take the time to call a couple of your old classmates and let them know you are thinking of them and encourage them to attend our 45th we could get so many more classmates contacted (making my job easier). Let me know who you want to contact. I am so determined to contact every classmate!!!! Have a super day!!!

Regards the Tayac picture, here's the best I can offer...The guy in front of Carl Fleming might be Ray Thorne. The girl to Ray's left reminds me of Lois House. Maybe Carl remembers this stuff. Sorry, but that's it. Frank: I'm pretty sure there's no can of old worms out there..I just don't feel comfortable dropping in on folks from the blue (unless totally compelled). dave wood

Donna-the boy on my right from Tayac is Bill Sedgwick. Can't remember anyone else except those already noted. Some of the Tayac crew should have been at Camp Springs for second grade too since Tayac didn't open until I was in third. Wynn

Donna-I live in a magical place called The Villages. There is an invisible dome above it and storms pass us by. The original path of Fay was straight for us. Now we are on the western side, no problems. Even watching the radar, the feeder bands dissipate as they approach us and reform on the other side. Haven't heard from Pat but the Keys only got a lot of rain and some wind, no major surge so I'm sure she and her gang are fine. Best to all my fellow Floridians.

Glad that magic dome kept old Faye away. The last time I visited my sister in Mt Dora we passed The Villages on the way back up north. I thought of you and maybe the next time I visit Florida I will give you a shout. There are so many classmates in Florida we should have a mini reunion down there- especially if held in the winter I am sure some of our northern classmate would use the reunion as a reason to warm up. It is truly great to see another OHHS65er on here - please come back often and just chat away. It is always great to have new people add to the chatter of the regular ones. See if you can get Pat to visit and post.
