tingum 29 posts Sep 05, 2008 11:58 AM	All is well so far but it is Ike that has everyone worried. We had a bunch of rain but fortunately the strongest winds, guestimate 70ish, were out of the east. It was almost low tide when it backed into the NW so no flooding. I am sticking pins into pictures of hurricanes! tingum 30 posts Sep 06, 2008 11:22 AM	We are in North Carolina now. Our usual schedule is to stay here until the leaves finish, usually round the first part of Nov. Then we spend the winter in the Bahamas until around mid April. We usually make a mid summer trip around the start of lobster season to do some spearfishing. This year is screwed up due to my surgery but we should get back on schedule after the new year. Yes we have a caretaker to look after the place and hold the renters hands. We also have friends there who keep an eye on the place. It is really a sick feeling watching the storms glide by and knowing there is nothing you can do but keep your fingers crossed.
