Hi Everyone: I just wanted to let everyone know that the November luncheon is going to be at Topolino's in Camp Springs. It is on Old Branch Avenue, near the Hanger Club on Monday, November 2nd at noon.

Frank Kobilis is bringing Mike Anderson to our luncheon (as long as Mike's health holds up). Please come to this luncheon. Mike would love to see as many old friends as possible. Please let me know on this site or my e-mail john.bonnie@comcast.net or by phone 301-259-2887. I want to let Topolino's know in advance of how many to set up the restaurant for. This is going to be a luncheon that can't be missed.

Why don't we just go to the Hanger Club? They have entertainment.

Mike, that "entertainment" might just be too distracting, ha! ha!. The guys can pretend they are leaving and then turn around and go in for some entertaining, if they want but of course, the great company of old school pals is the best entertainment you can get. Who could ask for more. See you on the 2nd. It is going to be a great luncheon.

I can think of a hundred come backs to Mike's post about the Hanger Club, but every one of them would get me in trouble with somebody, so............ ;>D

All classmates in the area, please come and have lunch with us. We have a great time each month and as soon as we are on our way home from one luncheon, we start looking forward to the next. We would love to see alot of new faces at this luncheon.

Mike called while he was riding back to SC. He attended a family wedding on Saturday on the other side of Baltimore. He is looking forward to seeing everyone at the luncheon.

Okay, Mike. We are going to have a few surprise guests this luncheon. Did I get your imagination working? The only thing is that the won't be walking over from next store to attend but everyone will be glad to see them.

Linda - I think Pam Davis is coming from Smithburg. I will call her and see if the two of you can meet up and ride together. Call me at 301-259-2887 and I'll put you in touch with Pam.

Bonnie, I have no idea where Smithburg is. I thought I heard Wayne Evans or Jennifer and Don Ludke live in Mt Airy. At any rate, I'll definitely be there.

Linda - Smithburg is a little past Frederick, before you get to Hagerstown on Rt. 70. Pam has to come by Frederick to come to the luncheon. Wayne and Carol Evans are in Las Vegas for a vacation. If Pam calls me back, I'll check and see where the two of you could meet in Frederick, if that's okay with you.

I made reservations for 30 people at noon on Monday, November 2nd at Topolinos. We are all set.

There were 25 people for lunch yesterday. Frank brought Mike in at 12:15 and he was certainly the distinguished guest that everyone came to see. We met at noon and stayed until 3 and had alot of laughs.
Mike and Frank left and had plans to go to Georgetown before they headed back to VA. The food was delicious but the company was better than the food. Let me make a stab at trying to name the people that came: Anita, Barb and Butch Essig, Barb and Norman Myers, a surprise guest, Barbara Osborn (our Donna's sister), Pam Davis, Linda Sheckler, Jeff Ocean, John Moxon, Sue Caposella, Linda Hovermale, Dave Kipple. Lori Gillis, Tony Trunfio, Andrew Trunfio (from Colorado), Pat Young, Cherie Martin, Leesa Kidd, Bonnie Maines, Mike Green and the other 5 wonderful people that came, my mind has just died. We had a great time and thanks for everyone for coming.

Mike and I had a great time at the luncheon, it was fun to see some people I haven't seen in many years.

Mike wanted to see his old neighborhood, so we rode around Oxon Hill and Forest Hgts for a while. We also drove by the high school and old Oxon Hill Jr. High (its a school board administration office now). We went in and asked if we could walk around the old building and they said we could. It was strange to be in a school we hadn't been in for for nearly 50 years. It was just like we remembered it!

After the luncheon we went to Georgetown for dinner and to tip one or two (or three) and by that time Mike was pretty worn out. He left this morning to catch his plane, so I suppose he might be home by now.

It was nice having the time with Mike to just talk about things and old memories. Mike's still a great guy and he enjoys his old friends (never knew about the Jr. High make out parties ladies, sorry I missed out!) He's been through hell, but he's a fighter, please keep him in your prayers, and thanks to everyone who came to the luncheon, it meant a lot to him.
